Job Summary
Assistant Principal responsible for supervision, discipline, and monitoring of students under the direction of the Building Principal. Enforces school board policies and administrative rules; assumes principal duties in their absence; collaborates with district administrators to support district-wide goals; develops and administers disciplinary and attendance policies; assists in curriculum development, prepares required reports, mentors staff, and helps ensure a safe, orderly school environment. Key duties include enforcing guidelines, communicating policies to students, staff, and parents; supporting staff in classroom discipline and organization; assisting in emergency drills and evacuations; and contributing to budget planning and program implementation. Requires valid NC administrative license and 5 years of teaching experience; extensive background check and ongoing licensure maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- Possess a valid administrative license as required by the State of North Carolina
- 5 years of successful classroom teaching experience
