Job Summary
Assistant Principal for Grades 4-8 in the Brandywine Heights Area School District (Berks County, PA). Responsible for overseeing school operations, collaborating with faculty, students, and stakeholders to maintain a safe, supportive, and effective learning environment, and serving as the District Wellness Coordinator. Requires PA administrative certification and a Master’s degree, with five years of public education experience as a teacher or administrator. Strong leadership, decision-making, and IT skills (word processing, databases, IEP software, and presentation software) are essential. Full-time, 12-month position with salary range $78,500-$90,000 and comprehensive benefits under the Act 93 Agreement.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited college or university
- Pennsylvania administrative certification for the position
- Master's degree
- Five (5) years of successful experience in public education as a teacher or administrator including elementary or secondary instruction
- Strong decision-making, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with word processing, databases, IEP software, office equipment, and presentation software
- Valid state vehicle operator's license with good driving record
- Background and criminal record checks and state training/certifications compliance
