Job Summary
Assist the principal of the high school in providing leadership and guidance in the effective organization and operations of the school; manage the curriculum and instructional program (including CTAE) and maintain a safe, orderly environment that supports student success. Responsibilities include assuming duties in the principal’s absence, leading faculty meetings and activities, overseeing regulations affecting students and academic performance, participating in staff selection and evaluation, preparing attendance/test/data reports, addressing student/parent concerns, and serving on district-wide task forces and committees. Requires Master’s degree and appropriate Georgia Educational Leadership certifications; grade 30, 225-day calendar; salary steps up to Step 8.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree required
- Standard Professional Educational Leadership – Tier I certificate or a Standard or Performance-Based Professional Educational Leadership – Tier II certificate and completion or exemption of all applicable Special Georgia Requirements at the time of application
