Job Summary
Assistant Principal for K-5 Elementary School responsible for administering resources and programs, ensuring compliance with federal/state laws and district policies, promoting strong relationships with parents, students, and staff, supervising and evaluating teachers, managing the school budget and operations, and leading improvement initiatives to advance student achievement and district mission.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Ohio Principal's license or certificate
- Academic preparation and experience in educational administration, curriculum/instruction, and school finance
- Documentation of a clear criminal and ethical record
- Certification in OTES 2.0
- Experience or instructional leadership with proven student achievement in grades K-2
- Strong background in Early Literacy, including Science of Reading knowledge and training such as LETRS or comparable training program
- Familiarity with developments and trends in school administration, staff supervision and curriculum development
- Knowledge of current practices and techniques involving elementary education, school administration and data information systems
- Knowledge and/or experience of Responsive Classroom, Multi-Tiered System of Supports, and Special Education
- Understanding of child psychology and the ability to effectively apply its teachings with early elementary school students
- Superior communication skills (written and oral) and the capacity to work well with others
- High standards of ethics, honesty and integrity
