Job Summary
Assistant Principal who assists the principal in leadership and operations of the school; manages the curriculum and instructional program (including CTAE); maintains a safe, orderly environment to support student success; substitutes for the principal during absence; leads faculty meetings, assemblies, volunteer programs, and other activities; oversees regulations affecting students, academic performance, discipline, and counseling; participates in staff selection, performance evaluation, and disciplinary actions; prepares attendance, test scores, personnel, and government project reports; collaborates with stakeholders and serves on district-wide task forces; requires Master’s degree, at least 3 years of teaching experience, and Standard Professional Educational Leadership certification (Tier I or Tier II) with applicable Georgia requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree required
- Minimum of three (3) years successful teaching experience required
- Standard Professional Educational Leadership – Tier I certificate or a Standard or Performance-Based Professional Educational Leadership – Tier II certificate and completion or exemption of all applicable Special Georgia Requirements at the time of application
