Assistant Principal to lead Bronx K-12 program for Gersh Autism with focus on administration, supervision of teachers and staff, data-driven student planning, collaborating with therapists and families, and ensuring compliance with special education regulations. Role emphasizes leadership, program evaluation, scheduling, operational planning, and fostering a positive school culture to support students aged 5-21 including those on the autism spectrum. Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field
- State certification in school administration or educational leadership (or eligibility to obtain certification)
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in special education, preferably with autism
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in education management, administration, or leadership
- Experience developing and implementing IEPs, behavior intervention plans, and data-driven instruction
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices for supporting students with autism
- Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills
- Familiarity with compliance standards in special education
