Job Summary
Assistant Principal/Athletic Director responsible for providing leadership to ensure a positive, safe, and orderly learning environment, supervising school activities, and coordinating athletics aligned with WV policies. Duties include leadership in school improvement planning, collaboration with faculty and parents, management of textbooks and instructional supplies, preparation of reports, development of master schedule, evaluation of staff, and coordination of athletic events and budgeting. Requires WV principal certification and adherence to district and state policies; role involves supervision of faculty and extracurricular staff, and interaction with coaches and community partners to promote a positive learning environment. 205-day contract with salary based on experience and education level, plus benefits.
Required Qualifications
- West Virginia certification as principal at appropriate level
- Experience in meeting and working with the public
- Oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of West Virginia Laws
- Knowledge of West Virginia Board of Education policies
- Criminal background check conducted pursuant to WV Code §18-5-15c and/or §18A-3-10
