Job Summary
Assistant Principal at GOAL High School who will assist the principal with leadership, direction, supervision, operations, and accountability for academic and non-academic duties. Responsible for on-site support to staff and students to maintain a safe and effective learning environment, oversee student discipline, and foster positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. Key duties include monitoring professional development and instructional efforts, promoting an effective learning environment for diverse backgrounds, implementing behavioral expectations and truancy interventions, forming partnerships with parents and the community, analyzing student assessment data to aid recruitment, retention, and graduation, planning and coordinating school projects and events, managing budgets, and ensuring policy procedures are implemented. Must maintain regular on-site presence with potential site-specific virtual work, reside in Colorado, hold a Bachelor’s degree in education/management (Colorado Principal’s License required), and possess strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Requires two years of leadership experience in education, three years of progressively responsible leadership experience, and willingness to travel regionally. May require the ability to work with at-risk students and technology proficiency. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education, management, or a similar field
- Valid Colorado Principal's License
- Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities alignment with school leadership roles
- Two years of experience as a secondary teacher, secondary counselor, or equivalent (leadership roles preferred)
- Three years of progressively responsible leadership experience in a school
- Experience working online and/or with at-risk youth is preferred
- Ability to travel regionally and supervise staff
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and written communication skills
- Proficiency with technology and problem solving
