Assistant Preschool Teacher

Assist the lead teacher with all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the center's philosophy and goals. Implement activities that encourage each child's growth in emotion, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development. Take direction, accept constructive criticism, and make improvements to better the quality of the program. Create and maintain a clean, safe environment for all children while establishing a professional rapport with families. Ensure physical ability to work around small children, including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs, with the capacity to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
