Job Summary
Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and prepare classroom materials to ensure a safe, clean, and inviting learning environment. Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through active engagement, supervise students, and provide individualized support to foster a sense of belonging. Communicate with families regarding their child's progress and daily activities while adhering to health and safety guidelines and licensing regulations. Manage daily care routines to promote a nurturing learning environment. This role supports the new Goddard School opening in Northern Liberties, Philadelphia, offering a premium educational experience in state-of-the-art facilities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting
- Basic understanding of child development
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children
- Must pass required state background checks and meet state minimum education, experience and credential requirements
