Job Summary
Supervise daily class functions and maintain an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore, and make decisions with confidence. Provide verbal recognition and acceptance while establishing clear, consistent behavioral expectations. Observe all school and regulatory rules regarding child health, safety, and care. Work with co-teachers to implement lesson plans from the Balanced Learning® curriculum, helping infants through preschool-age children develop confidence and independence. Spend days building genuine relationships with each child while supporting their growth in language, literacy, science, and life skills.
Required Qualifications
- Must meet basic requirements Colorado Shines
- PDIS Level 1
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience as a teacher in licensed early childhood education, PreK, preschool, day care center, or education preferred
