Job Summary
Implement developmentally appropriate activities aligned with curriculum standards to nurture children's physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs. Monitor the classroom to maintain a safe, healthy, and well-ventilated environment while providing visual and auditory supervision at all times. Assist in the day-to-day program schedule, complete and maintain children's files, and foster positive relationships with children and families. Communicate pertinent family contacts and concerns to the Preschool Director, participate in open houses and special programs, and act as a liaison with schools and community agencies. Report to the scheduled M-F 10:00 AM-4:30 PM shift consistently.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPR and First Aid Certification
- Knowledge of Early Childhood Development
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- above average interpersonal skills
- Honesty, integrity and operating as a team player
- Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
- Ability to balance multiple assignments and adjust direction and priorities within fast paced and multi-faceted work environment
- Report to scheduled shift consistently and on time
- Follow policies, procedures and rules of the organization
- Maintain high program standards
- Be a strong advocate for the Club being a positive place to be
