Job Summary
Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and preparing classroom materials to ensure a safe, clean, and inviting learning environment. Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through active engagement, individualized supervision, and daily care routines. Foster a sense of belonging while communicating with families about progress and activities, adhering to health and safety guidelines and licensing regulations. This role is based at the Goddard School in West Chester, PA, offering a supportive team culture with no nights or weekends, childcare discounts, and opportunities for advancement.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children
- Must pass required state background checks and meet state minimum education, experience and credential requirements
Desired Qualifications
- associate or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education
- Previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting
- Basic understanding of child development
