Job Summary
Assist Port Engineer with planning off-season repairs and project management; schedule and oversee dry-dock events; perform safe repair of engines and related systems; oversee engineers and fleet technicians on the East Coast; maintain preventative maintenance programs; visit ships at least twice monthly with inspections; prepare specifications and work orders for maintenance to meet regulatory compliance; diagnose malfunctions and recommend corrective actions; participate in maintenance events and budgeting and vendor coordination; requires travel to ships (50-75%), background check, pre-employment physical, and valid TWIC/driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent or equivalent related experience
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Background investigation
- Pre-employment physical
- Valid driver’s license
- Valid TWIC
Additional Requirements
- Must be located on the East Coast
- Travel 50-75% to ships
