Job Summary
Assistant Polybag Operator placement at Sheridan Brimfield (CJK Group) supports a night-shift Polybag operation within a printing production environment. You will assist with setup and maintenance of polybag equipment, help train new associates, load ink for the inkjet printer, move books and materials, monitor machine operations, follow safety procedures, read and interpret job tickets and documentation, ensure customer quality requirements are met, and help with other duties as assigned. The role involves 10–12 hour shifts on a night schedule (7a–7p rotation noted as Front Half Day on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and alternating Wednesdays), overtime potential, and comprehensive benefits; prior printing/bindery experience and mechanical aptitude are preferred. Growth includes paid training and cross-training across electrical/mechanical systems, pneumatics/hydraulics, PLC exposure, and advancement opportunities. Safety-focused, team-oriented environment with opportunity to fill in as Polybag Operator when needed.
Required Qualifications

- Must possess strong organizational skills
- Possess the ability to perform basic math functions
- Effectively communicate both written and verbally
- The ability to troubleshoot
- Must be dependable, reliable, and responsible in fulfilling obligations
- Must be flexible and open to change when needed
- Able to follow instructions and make decisions
- Willing to work overtime when needed
- The ability to work 10 to 12 hour shifts
- Perferred Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED
- Must have some printing experience
- Minimum 1-year Bindery experience
- Have an operational knowledge of the polybag
- Ability to interpret and utilize various units of measure and their conversions
- Must possess a mechanical aptitude
- Basic small packaging knowledge
- Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of standing... lift up to 50 pounds
