Job Summary
Assemble, install, maintain, and pressure test all pipes, fittings, and fixtures for heating, water, drainage, sprinkler, and gas systems according to specifications and plumbing codes. Detect needed repairs on buildings, grounds, and equipment, determine malfunction sources, and complete repairs based on work orders. Install kitchen equipment such as gas stoves and dishwashers, receive and complete work orders, select materials, make estimates, and maintain accurate records. Respond to emergency calls as needed, inspect completed jobs, and ensure work areas are clean. Maintain inventory of tools and equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and follow district safety protocols while operating power tools and lifting heavy items. Work irregular hours, travel districtwide, and operate in extreme temperatures.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Clear and valid Texas driver's license
- Knowledge of plumbing repairs, maintenance, and installation techniques
- Knowledge of plumbing codes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and written reference material
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations
- Ability to diagnose and resolve problems
- 2 years plumbing experience

- Texas plumber's license
