Assistant Plant Manager-Greenview, IL

Assist the location manager in daily operations; heavily involved with custom mixing duties at the facility while also providing sales opportunities. Work closely with all employees at the location or assigned to the area including sales and field advisors. Maintain accurate application records and communicate with customers. Provide agronomic support, education, and sales management within the designated area. Report to the Greenview Plant Manager and work with the Greenview customer base, with potential growth into other positions. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining equipment, mixing and loading pesticides and fertilizers, inventory management of seed, chemical and fertilizer, scouting fields, applying products as needed, and building long-term relationships with customers while delivering agronomic advice and solving customer needs.
