Job Summary
Assist the teacher in preparing daily schedules and implementing the daily lesson plan; work with individual students or small groups in physical education activities; assist with administration and scoring of objective testing instruments or assignments; organize games and supervise the playground; lead recreational and physical activities; keep the teacher informed of any student needs or problems; assist in inventory and maintenance of equipment; help prepare administrative records and reports; participate in staff development, meetings, and events; provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers; follow Plano ISD policies and directives from supervisors; comply with attendance policies; support other duties as assigned by Administration/supervisor; use copier and sports equipment as needed; communicate effectively under stress."
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Valid Texas educational aide certificate
- Ability to work well with children
- Knowledge of general sports activity equipment
- Some experience working with students
