Job Summary
Direct nursing care and unit administration for Cardiac Telemetry/Medicine night shift, coordinating activities with ancillary departments while aligning with Division of Patient Care Services goals. Lead nursing staff in accordance with the nursing process and staff nurse performance appraisal criteria. Maintain ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications per policy, ensuring compliance with Virginia Department of Health Professions licensure. Report to the Patient Care Director to support exceptional care outcomes and stronger community health initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited School of Nursing
- One year of experience in nursing / patient care
- One year of demonstrated leadership ability
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Virginia Department of Health Professions or Compact State Licensure in Nursing
- BLS Certification
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- NRP certification
- De-escalation training
