Job Summary
Assist the pastry chef at the Country Club of Buffalo in preparing pastries, cakes and other baked goods, ensuring consistent quality, flavor, and presentation. Responsibilities include preparing, mixing, portioning, shaping dough, managing baking schedules for daily service and events, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen, overseeing inventory and ordering to prevent shortages, operating equipment, and helping develop creative buffet and display presentations for buffets, events, and member gatherings. Requires proven pastry/baking experience, strong techniques and trends knowledge, creativity and attention to detail, ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, excellent organizational skills, and a team-oriented attitude. Certification in culinary arts or related field is a plus. Must be able to work long hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in pastry and baking
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and trends
- Creativity, attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional desserts
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills and a collaborative team-oriented attitude
- Certification in culinary arts or related field is a plus
