Job Summary
Develop and enforce effective Parts Department processes to ensure customer satisfaction. Promote and merchandise parts and accessories in collaboration with other store locations. Monitor annual department goals and budgets while overseeing monthly marketing efforts to achieve targets. Maintain accurate inventory control systems, including annual physical counts, and ensure timely completion of all reporting. Maximize special terms and stock orders to meet management goals. Assist with recruiting, staffing, and employee development for department staff. Maintain staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and monitor tools, equipment, and vehicles. Identify deficiencies and recommend corrective actions to the Branch Manager. Work extended hours and weekends as required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years' experience in Parts Department operations
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness and ability to work extended hours and weekends as required
- Ability to occasionally lift or move parts or equipment as needed
- Flexibility to work extended hours, including weekends
Desired Qualifications
- Leadership experience or ability to lead and motivate a team
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and general internet functions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of effectively engaging individuals and groups
- Basic understanding of financial principles related to Parts Department operations
- Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports
- Excellent customer service skills with a customer-first mindset
- Previous experience in parts management or related field
- Familiarity with John Deere or agricultural equipment parts
- Experience working in a multi-location retail or dealership environment
- Additional post-secondary education or certifications in related fields
