Job Summary
Support daily operations of a high-volume marine parts department by prioritizing workflow for technicians, service advisors, and retail customers. Assist with front counter duties, inventory receiving, vendor management, and maintaining an organized parts environment. Identify correct marine parts and accessories for customers and technicians, quote components for service repairs and boat sales, and recommend OEM and aftermarket solutions. Receive, inspect, and stock incoming marine parts while maintaining inventory accuracy through cycle counts and adjustments. Source parts from OEM manufacturers and aftermarket vendors, track backorders, and coordinate with the Service Department to minimize technician downtime. Utilize Lightspeed DMS to process orders, inventory transactions, returns, and invoices.
Required Qualifications
- 2–5+ years of marine parts experience in a dealership environment
- Retail marine parts counter experience assisting customers and technicians
- Strong knowledge of Mercury, Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda, and general marine parts and accessories
- Experience researching, sourcing, and ordering marine parts from OEM and aftermarket vendors
- Experience maintaining inventory accuracy, receiving shipments, and processing returns
- Ability to identify marine rigging components, accessories, and replacement parts accurately
Desired Qualifications
- Experience using Lightspeed DMS or a similar dealership management system
