Job Summary
Direct, plan, and supervise terminal operations and staff, including foremen and labor to meet performance expectations and customer needs. Determine daily labor requirements, control overtime and expenditures, ensure payroll accuracy, and enforce safety programs and workers' compensation procedures. Collaborate with M&R/Terminal departments to allocate equipment, ensure compliance with CBAs, supervise corrective actions, and communicate performance expectations. Develop and improve operating and administrative procedures; maintain training and clearances for staff; work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays; travel to support other operations as needed. Requires HS Diploma or GED, 2+ years in management and with computerized systems/MS Office, TWIC certification, and a valid US driver's license. Port operations experience, safety knowledge, and strong communication/leadership skills are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED equivalent
- 2+ years of experience with computerized operating systems, MS Office or related technologies
- 2+ years of management, leadership, and/or supervisory experience
- Obtain and maintain Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC)
- Valid US Driver's License
