Job Summary
Dispatch technicians for emergency and scheduled service calls, coordinate schedules to maximize productivity, and prioritize work based on urgency. Source qualified electrical subcontractors, arrange equipment rentals, and manage warehouse inventory by receiving shipments and moving freight using pallet jacks. Monitor technician GPS locations, verify time entries, and act as the primary after-hours point of contact during every-other-week 24/7 on-call rotations. Maintain accurate records in management software and support the Operations Manager with reporting and daily tasks. Participate in a rotating schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of operations, dispatch, project coordination, or electrical industry experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Operations, or a related field
- Ability to understand electrical terminology, service calls, and job priorities
- Experience coordinating field technicians
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and scheduling/dispatch software
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Above average organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure
- Electrical industry experience
- Ability to participate in a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule every other week, including nights, weekends, and holidays as assigned
- Ability to respond promptly to emergency calls, technician support requests, and operational inquiries during on-call periods
- Ability to safely receive, unload, and move shipments weighing up to 800 pounds using pallet jacks and other appropriate material handling equipment
- Ability to lift and move materials in accordance with safe work practices
- Valid driver's license
