Job Summary
The Assistant Operations Manager - Asset Execution is responsible for overseeing daily terminal operations and labor execution with a focus on safe and efficient operations. Responsibilities include optimizing labor utilization, managing labor resources, ensuring accurate payroll reporting, and making real-time operational decisions to enhance terminal productivity. The role requires experience in managing union labor, outstanding decision-making under pressure, and the ability to adapt to changing operational conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory or management experience
- At least 3 years of experience in transportation, supply chain, warehousing, stevedoring, or equivalent military experience
- Experience working with unionized labor environments
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one
- TWIC card or ability to obtain one
