Job Summary
Assist Operations Manager in overseeing all aspects of facility operations at Legends Global venues, including front and back-of-house, preventive maintenance, third-party contracting, staffing, and venue setup/tear-down. Hire, train and supervise full-time, part-time, and temporary staff; coordinate with other departments and show-related contractors; implement facility rules and procedures; anticipate and resolve operational problems; communicate directives clearly; oversee groundskeeping and custodial activities; manage purchasing and MSDS logging; ensure facility readiness for events; lead and develop staff, with emphasis on customer service and safety across venues such as Acrisure Amphitheater and Van Andel Arena. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Management or Maintenance Engineering and a minimum of 2 years supervisory or managerial experience in a similar facility; strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills; ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Management or Maintenance Engineering
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Supervising or Managing in a similar facility
- Strong supervisory experience and leadership abilities
- Excellent organization and multitasking skills
- Good written, verbal and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with all levels of staff
- Ability to work flexible hours including day, night, weekends, and holidays
- Experience coordinating operations with multiple departments and vendors
- Familiarity with safety, public safety, ADA compliance, and facility operations
