Job Summary
Provide clinical leadership and guidance to the nursing team on the Nursing – Theatre, Anaesthetic and Recovery Unit. Assist the Perioperative Services Manager with daily ward operations, resource management, and rostering. Participate in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans for medical and cardiac patients. Mentor nursing staff, including new graduates and junior team members, while ensuring compliance with hospital policies and clinical standards. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and risk management strategies. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate comprehensive patient care and discharge planning. Manage patient admissions, transfers, and discharges effectively. Work within a fast-paced environment supporting high-quality patient care and a supportive team environment.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse
- significant experience in Perioperative Nursing
- previous leadership or supervisory experience
- Must provide or complete a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
- Working-With-Children Check
- proof of immunisation against infectious diseases
