Job Summary
Support the GM/DON and NUM with quality and safety activities to embed continuous improvement and evidence-based practice across the hospital. Assist with resources, rostering, procurement, and administration while providing guidance, coaching, and leadership to the team. Maintain clear communication to respond proactively to risks and build positive relationships with visiting medical officers, patients, and key stakeholders. Drive patient-centred care within a supportive environment at Manningham Private Hospital, a leading day surgery specialist in Ophthalmology and refractive surgery.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced Perioperative experience Ophthalmology Anaesthetics/ PACU nursing
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Postgraduate qualifications relevant to the role, or a commitment to working towards them
- A demonstrated commitment to education, mentoring and clinical leadership
- Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, doctors, colleagues and key stakeholders
- Strong organisational, time management, leadership and communication skills
- Experience supporting quality improvement activities, work health and safety, infection prevention and control, and accreditation processes
- Advanced clinical and technical capability, supported by sound problem-solving skills
- Monday to Friday - no weekends, no public holidays, no overnights, no on-call
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Ophthalmology highly desirable to this role
- Experience in our hospital's specialties desirable
- Experience in a fast-paced day or short-stay hospital environment desirable
