Job Summary
RN Shift Coordinator (Assistant Nurse Manager) role provides leadership to support unit operations, coordinate staffing and scheduling, guide staff, uphold standards of care, and ensure a safe, patient-centered environment. Responsibilities include coaching staff, providing timely feedback to Clinical Managers, conducting quality rounds to prevent HAIs and reinforce evidence-based practice, ensuring adherence to performance metrics and regulatory benchmarks, participating in staff interviews and retention efforts, and contributing to unit-based committees to promote collaboration and continuous improvement in patient care and operational excellence. Requires active Kentucky RN license, ADN, and BLS certification; ACLS preferred depending on department. Location is Louisville, KY with on-site, hospital-based duties.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited/approved school of nursing (Required)
- Active Kentucky Registered Nurse License or compact license with privileges to work in Kentucky (Required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (Required)
- Experience: One (1) year of clinical experience and additional experience as a Charge Nurse or other nurse leader (Preferred)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited/approved school of nursing (Preferred)
