Assistant Nurse Manager - Surgical ICU

Provide leadership and direction for the unit in the absence of the Nurse Manager and serve as the liaison between physicians, patients, and families. Coordinate assignments based on patient acuity and Novice to Expert theory while mentoring new employees and maintaining clinical competency. Participate in staff development, resolve personnel problems, and ensure regulatory agency preparedness alongside the Nurse Manager. Retain full responsibility for the health and safety of patients and employees. This role supports a 537-bed teaching hospital with over 900 physicians, requiring a BSN and 5+ years of RN experience.
