Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the emergency department, fostering patient-centered outcomes through evidence-based practices. Manage assigned patients by developing individualized care plans, delegating tasks to team members, and ensuring continuity of care including discharge coordination. Monitor quality of care, perform performance improvement audits, and advocate for patients while adhering to safety protocols, infection control, and regulatory requirements. Work night shifts at Blount Memorial Hospital, maintaining licensure and completing mandatory education. This role supports Prisma Health's mission to transform healthcare for community benefit.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Nursing
- One (1) year experience as a registered nurse
- Holds a current RN compact/multistate license recognized by the NCSBN Compact State or is licensed to practice as an RN in the state the team member is working
- Night shift availability
- Location: Blount Memorial Hospital
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Successful completion of the Prisma Health Nurse Residency Program
- Successful completion of a comparable residency from another organization
- 1 year of licensed practical nurse (LPN) experience for internal candidates within the same service line
- Nursing diploma with licensure to practice as a registered nurse
