Job Summary
Assistant Nurse Manager (RN) in the Emergency Department at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (Hughes Spalding). Collaborates with the manager to optimize daily operations, patient flow, staffing assignments, and safe patient care; fosters a healthy work environment; leads on-shift as unit leader when needed; drives admission, transfer, and discharge processes; supports shared leadership councils and professional development; ensures regulatory readiness and contributes to departmental goals and budget/resource utilization. Requires BSN, GA RN licensure (or multi-state), BLS within 30 days, PALS/PEARS within 1 year, and 2+ years healthcare experience; strong communication and organizational skills emphasized.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license in GA or multi-state licensure through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- BLS certification within 30 days of employment
- PALS or PEARS within 1 year of employment as required by department specifications
- Minimum 2 years healthcare experience; Preferred 1 year clinical nurse leadership/management experience in healthcare
