Job Summary
Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) in the PACU unit leads nursing staff and coordinates unit operations under the Nurse Manager. Collaborates with multidisciplinary team to uphold clinical quality, safety, and service, acts as staff nurse or relief charge as needed, coordinates hiring/training/evaluation, participates in budgeting, drives unit performance initiatives, ensures regulatory readiness, and supports Core Measures and hospital standards. Requires BSN, TX RN license, CPR, 3 years of nursing experience, and pursuit/achievement of specialty certification within 1 year; strong coaching/mentoring, communication, and problem-solving skills; high adaptability and team orientation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Current license to practice professional nursing in Texas (RN)
- 3 years of nursing experience required
- Current CPR certification required
- National certification in specialty area or will obtain within one year
- Ability to coach/mentor staff
- Computer literate with varied software experience
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of hospital policies and nursing care standards
- Ability to lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to coordinate hiring, training, evaluation, and discharge of unit staff
- Ability to plan and implement unit budget
- Understanding of regulatory compliance readiness and Core Measures
