Job Summary
Assistant Nurse Manager leads and supports ambulatory clinic staffing and operations within the Outpatient Float Pool. Responsibilities include collaborating with the Nurse Manager on administrative duties (approximately 20-30%) while continuing to provide clinic staffing (approximately 70-80%) across multiple clinical areas. Some clinical areas may require ACLS, PALS, or PEARS certification. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, staff development, quality improvement, and adherence to hospital policies and safety standards; requires RN licensure, a Bachelor's degree, and several years of ambulatory nursing experience with leadership preference.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in the State of practice
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Minimum of three years direct patient care experience in the ambulatory setting
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- ACLS and/or PALS or PEARS may be required within one year in select clinical areas
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
