Job Summary
Manage daily clinical operations, staffing, and budgeting for a single unit of 20 to 60 employees. Supervise shift activities, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and develop action plans for staff development. Monitor quality standards, resolve patient concerns, and coordinate care with external providers while identifying savings opportunities. Investigate and implement best practice models and address risk management issues. Works Monday through Friday evenings from 12 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with an administrative call rotated every eight weeks.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum two (2) years of nursing experience
- Minimum two (2) years of experience as charge nurse, preceptor, quality improvement champion or other related leadership experience
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing
- High school diploma OR General Education Diploma (GED)
- Registered Nurse License (California)
- Evidence of training completion as preceptor or charge nurse
- Demonstrated knowledge of quality improvement, clinical care delivery processes, staffing, & budgeting
- Knowledge of Nursing Practice Act, The Joint Commission & other federal, state, & local regulatory requirements
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment
Desired Qualifications
- ACLS certification
- Bachelors degree in nursing
