Job Summary
Collaborate with the unit Manager to develop and implement action plans focused on quality and safety improvements, care affordability, and enhancing patient and team member experiences. Lead the execution of these action plans and systematically evaluate their effectiveness. Contribute as a member of the interprofessional team, fostering an environment where the team is motivated to achieve exceptional patient outcomes and organizational excellence. Advocate for and promote evidence-based practices and professional nursing standards to advance nursing practice. Onboard and train new team members. Participate as a member of the leadership team for a 24/7 operational unit, which includes responsibilities on weekends and holidays. This role supports a 25-bed Oncology Progressive Care unit within IU Health's multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license
- Required Basic Life Support certification through the AHA
- Minimum of 20% schedule being off-shift
Desired Qualifications
- Oncology or Hospice experience
- Previous leadership experience
- 3-5 years of nursing experience
