Job Summary
Manage clinical and operational activities within the assigned medical surgical shift, supporting the unit director in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating services. Provide managerial presence for all shifts while utilizing the nursing process to oversee patient care. Maintain Alaska Registered Nurse licensure and National Provider BLS certification upon hire. This role reports to the unit director/manager at Providence Kodiak Alaska Medical Center.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and Graduate from School of nursing (BS or BSN)
- Registered Nurses employed in this role prior to November 1, 2024 are encouraged to pursue the BSN degree but obtaining the degree will not be a condition of employment
- Alaska Registered Nurse License
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

- Recent clinical experience in an acute care hospital
- Charge Nurse/Relief Charge Nurse experience
