Assistant Nurse Manager Med-Surg Float Pool 40hrs/week Evening/Night

Coordinate, plan, and manage administrative, financial, and operational duties for the Med-Surg Float Pool on the Evening/Night shift; mentor professional caregivers in delivering patient care and facilitate patient access, communication, and transitions throughout the acute care stay. Responsible for delivery of patient care within the defined area on the assigned primary shift, contribute to goal setting and opportunities in alignment with organizational nursing initiatives, and develop a patient care team demonstrating leadership, professionalism, competency, and quality. Collaborative work with the Administrative Nursing Supervisor, Nurse Manager, and Assistant Vice President of Specialty Nursing Division to ensure throughput and care coordination. Demonstrates nursing leadership and professionalism, fosters a customer-oriented approach to patients, families, peers, and physicians. This role is part of Albany Med Health System in New York’s Capital Region and aligns with system-wide commitments to HIPAA protections and information security.
