Job Summary
Lead a team of nurses and clinical support staff while spending approximately half your time in a clinical capacity and half assisting with administrative support. Collaborate with an interprofessional team to ensure safe and effective care delivery, model core culture and safety behaviors, and facilitate implementation of change management and performance improvement initiatives. Assist managers and directors in planning unit goals, maintaining department readiness for regulatory surveyors, and managing staffing based on a matrix. Serve as a professional role model, mentor, and clinical resource to foster an environment where interdisciplinary team members contribute to optimal patient outcomes. Work days/evensings with a 40-hour weekly schedule at Southside Medical Center.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Nursing (strongly preferred)
- Current RN license in state they are working or covered by compact
- 2 years nursing experience
- 1 year minimum clinical experience in the acuity level of desired area
- Charge nurse or management experience

- NRP Neonatal Resuscitation Program
- TNCC Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum
- ENPC Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course
- National Board Certification Specialty
- Nurse Executive Certification or designated specialty certification
- Able to learn from setback and failures

- Uphold ethical priciples and corporate compliance standards
