Assistant Nurse Manager - Maternity

Operational and clinical leadership across the Maternity Unit to ensure safe, high-quality patient care delivery. Collaborate with Nursing Leadership to ensure safe staffing, real-time coverage management, and skill mix. Lead execution of patient experience, quality, and safety standards; support hiring, performance evaluation, coaching, and corrective action with the Nurse Manager. Drive patient flow and throughput initiatives while balancing safety, staffing, and experience priorities. Monitor key quality indicators (falls, medication scanning, restraints, hand hygiene, observation compliance); conduct patient and employee rounding with real-time coaching and service recovery. Maintain regulatory and accreditation readiness through environment-of-care and safety rounds. Partner with Risk, Performance Improvement, Infection Prevention, and interdisciplinary leaders to prevent hospital-acquired conditions and strengthen outcomes. Promote staff engagement, shared governance, and ANCC-aligned professional practice standards.
