Job Summary
Assistant Nurse Manager for Maternal and Infant Services leads nursing staff, coordinates staffing, budgets and quality initiatives in a NICU-adjacent service line, ensuring credentialed, clinically competent care, coaching staff, participating in hiring and performance reviews, and collaborating with medical staff to maintain high-quality patient care; requires BSN, SC RN license, BLS, and 2+ years RN experience with NICU exposure preferred, and involves leadership, budget oversight, and performance improvement activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
- Current South Carolina Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact RN license
- American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers
- At least 2 years of RN work experience (required)
- 3 years of RN work experience (preferred)
- Nursing experience in NICU preferred
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to coordinate, supervise and develop staff
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care
- Knowledge of South Carolina Nurse Practice Act
- Experience with budget and resource management
- Ability to participate in performance improvement initiatives
- Ability to engage in problem solving and staff development
- Ability to supervise a credentialed, clinically competent workforce
- Participation in on-call or weekend/holiday coverage as needed
