Job Summary
Lead a team of nurses and clinical support staff in supervising and coordinating administrative and operational activities within the Labor and Delivery unit. Perform managerial responsibilities 80% of the time while working on ground support for frontline staff and assisting in direct patient care as needed. Collaborate with interprofessional teams to ensure safe care delivery, plan and maintain department readiness for regulatory surveyors, and facilitate change management and performance improvement initiatives. Model core culture and safety behaviors to eliminate preventable harm and foster an environment where interdisciplinary team members contribute to optimal patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in state they are working or covered by compact
- Bachelor of Science Nursing
- 2 years nursing experience with 1-year minimum clinical experience in the acuity level of desired area
- Charge nurse or management experience
