Assistant Nurse Manager, Labor and Delivery

Partner with the Nurse Manager to translate organizational priorities into unit plans, set measurable targets, and track progress using data to support accreditation readiness. Oversee day-to-day operations including staffing, scheduling, assignments, and patient flow while leading huddles and providing leadership coverage across all shifts as needed. Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to staff, manage recruitment and succession planning, and resolve conflicts to foster a positive work environment. Promote adherence to professional standards by monitoring outcomes, leading performance improvement initiatives, and mitigating risks through error-reduction processes. Monitor productivity and resource utilization to support cost-effective operations while collaborating with interprofessional teams to advocate for patients and families. This role requires a BSN and two years of relevant clinical nursing experience with demonstrated leadership responsibilities.
