Job Summary
Assistant Nurse Manager for the ENT/Plastics & Internal Medicine unit on Cleveland Clinic Main Campus. The role oversees and coordinates unit clinical operations, provides patient care, and facilitates collaboration among caregivers and other departments. Responsibilities include reviewing operational patient care issues with Nurse Managers, conducting ongoing clinical evaluations and performance counseling, interviewing and orienting new caregivers, preparing work schedules to ensure coverage, and supporting quality improvement projects, outcomes studies, and research initiatives. The incumbent may assume Nurse Manager responsibilities in their absence. The unit comprises an 8-bed ENT/Plastics specialty stepdown and a 24-bed internal medicine unit; caregivers float between sides of the unit. The schedule is days, 7:00am–7:30pm. Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN)
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS certification if in a Critical Care area (must be presented upon hire or within first year)
- Two years of recent clinical nursing experience
- Strong demonstrated clinical knowledge and skills
