Job Summary
Manage clinical and operational activities within the assigned emergency room shift, supporting the director in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating unit services. Direct and evaluate clinical and non-clinical caregivers while ensuring compliance with professional nursing standards, policies, and clinical priorities. Provide managerial presence for all shifts and collaborate to deliver quality health care to patients. Requires an active Alaska Registered Nurse License and BLS certification; full-time day shift at Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree: Graduate from School of nursing (BS or BSN)
- Registered Nurses employed in this role prior to November 1, 2024 are encouraged to pursue the BSN degree but obtaining the degree will not be a condition of employment
- Upon hire: Alaska Registered Nurse License
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

- Recent clinical experience in an acute care hospital
- Charge Nurse/Relief Charge Nurse experience
- Leadership experience
- Shared Governance experience
