Assistant Nurse Manager Emergency Department

Manage individual nursing staff by hiring, training, assigning work, and evaluating performance to meet departmental operational goals. Coordinate patient care interventions, oversee equipment maintenance, and develop collaborative care plans based on assessment and diagnosis. Participate in budget development, review staff hours versus schedules, and approve daily payroll updates. Prepare staff communications, lead huddle meetings, and make nursing assignments including overtime. Conduct performance evaluations, draft corrective actions, and interview for open positions. Ensure productivity aligns with leadership-established goals while managing a broad spectrum of emergencies including trauma and cardiopulmonary arrest.
