Manage and coordinate daily operations of the E8 Med/Obs/Tele/PCU unit under the Nurse Manager, providing clinical and administrative leadership. Conduct monthly unit conferences, complete annual performance appraisals for associates, and promote shared governance through quarterly staff check-ins. Monitor departmental performance against quality and patient safety goals, develop action plans for unmet targets, and participate in operational excellence projects. Collaborate with the nurse manager on financial stewardship, budget variance reporting, and overtime management. Ensure effective implementation of the financial plan while maintaining patient care standards. Round daily to assess and address patient and family needs, investigating concerns to support continuous improvement.
