Job Summary
Assist the Nurse Manager in achieving clinical quality, safety, and service excellence on the Clinical Decision Unit by acting as staff nurse/relief charge nurse as needed, coordinating hiring, training, and evaluation of unit staff, participating in budgeting and education initiatives, and driving unit-based quality and patient-experience improvements. Responsibilities include coordinating education related to nursing quality care (e.g., Core Measures, Hospital Acquired Conditions), ensuring regulatory readiness, and providing coaching, mentorship, and real-time feedback to staff within a fast-paced, highly technical environment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing required
- 3 years of nursing experience required
- Current CPR certification required
- Current license to practice professional nursing in Texas
- National certification in specialty area or will obtain within one year or minimal amount of time that requirements can be met
