Job Summary
Manage clinical and operational activities within the cardiovascular unit by supporting the director/manager in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating services. Direct and evaluate performance of clinical and non-clinical caregivers while ensuring compliance with professional nursing standards, policies, and clinical priorities. Provide managerial presence for all night shifts and deliver quality health care through coaching and mentoring. This role requires a Registered Nurse with a BSN, California license, and BLS certification, reporting to the unit director/manager at a Magnet® hospital in Torrance, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree: Graduate from School of nursing (BS, or BSN)
- California Registered Nurse License
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- Full-Time
- 8-hour Night shifts
- Registered Nurses employed in this role prior to November 1, 2024 are encouraged to pursue the BSN degree but obtaining the degree will not be a condition of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Recent clinical experience in an acute care hospital
- Charge Nurse/Relief Charge Nurse experience
- Leadership experience
- Shared Governance experience
