Job Summary
Multi-Site Assistant Hospital Manager needed to support leadership and day-to-day hospital operations across Des Moines and Clive, IA. Drive strategic planning, budgeting, staffing, and operational efficiency; oversee payroll, inventory, and client service; support DVM hiring, staff development, compliance (DEA, OSHA, licensing, AAHA), and financial reporting. Collaborate with Hospital Manager and Managing Veterinarian to ensure high-quality patient care and profitable operations across two locations. Qualifications include an associate degree or higher (preferred) and prior supervisory/management experience; veterinary/healthcare experience and Avimark proficiency are advantageous. Compensation is based on experience with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher preferred
- Previous supervisory or management experience required
- Experience in a veterinary or healthcare setting preferred
- Licensed Veterinary Technician preferred but not required
- Proficiency with Avimark strongly preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently, remain flexible, and manage competing priorities
- Willingness to learn financial and data analysis
